Ever since the dawn of Facebook into our social networking space, people have expressed desires to see a button other than the usual like button to showcase their feeling about posts.
Facebook is considering some ways to give users this kind of liberty, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said during a Q&A session at the Facebook headquarters in Menlo Park on Thursday. He said, “We’re thinking about it.”

“Everyone feels like they can just push the Like button, and that’s an important way to sympathize or empathize with someone,” Zuckerberg told the audience.

But nobody is expected to understand the risk of social media and cyber bullying, so he also made it clear that there won’t be any Dislike button, instead it would be some less negative way to show the emotions. He said:

“But we need to figure out a good way to do it. We don’t have anything that’s coming soon but it is an area of discussion.”

It should be noted that he’s made similar comments about Facebook’s Dislike button as far back as 2010. In the rest of his discussion, Zuckerberg defended Facebook over the questions like Facebook killing people’s time, privacy policies and endless privacy policy updates etc.

Zuckerberg chatted on various issues. On asking to give some advice to new startups, he said, “Don’t worry about making mistakes too much. Mistakes are how you learn. The real question is how you learn from them. You gotta keep on powering ahead and not stress too much about it.”

In the reply of a lighter question, he revealed that he prefers having fried chicken on his pizza. He also opened up about his new year resolutions. New year resolutions taught him Mandarin, cooking etc. This upcoming year he is going to write one thank-you note each day.
